Here's the thing, if Ralph Nader's supporters had a reason to vote Democrat they would, whether he stands or not. Ditto the 25% of the adult population too disillusioned to vote at all. Pretending that Nader voters would otherwise vote Democrat is as stupid as supposing that people who download music for free would pay £14 for the same tat if it came in a nice box at HMV.
And anyway, since when did democracy mean denying people a voice?
