We won three-nil the last time we played West Brom. Owen scored two, Shearer one, and I watched the game from the edge of a beach in Goa. Today I'd settle for a late Ameobi toe-poke and text updates on the BBC - and be lucky to get even that.
We won, and our rivals for relegation lost. That’s what counts as a very successful Saturday these days. I’ve always thought we’ll probably survive this season. My main concern is what happens next year when there won’t be three teams in the league worse than us?
