Arnison Crag, overlooking Patterdale, Glenridding and the last bit of Ullswater. The sun came out in time for breakfast. An hour later we were packing up and setting out for home.
Helvellyn's like an old friend. Every time I've climbed it, I haven't seen valley floor due to cloud. It doesn't diminish it though, and a descent in low cloud through Green Side mine is eerie.
I'm dead jell. Hopefully I'll be up there at the weekend wetting my boots.
