Thirty today. Under rain clouded skies, I celebrate with a day off work and, in another hour or so, a phone interview for what I hope will be my next job - a summer school in China. Presents so far: two shiny ten pound notes, a Karrimor backpack, a crumpled fiver, and a pair of football themed boxer shorts. I don't know how I expected to feel today, only that I was sure that it would all be different somehow...that I'd be something more, or maybe something less, than I was before.
